Pedal to Produce
Imagine the perfect foodies holiday... cycling from a café in a quaint local village where you've had a fantastic brunch, down a country road to taste award winning wines and onto a farm-gate to pick up some fresh regional produce and meet the farmer who grew it.
You don't have to imagine travelling to provincial France to enjoy this perfect escape.
It's now available right here in North East Victoria.
North East Valleys Food and Wine and Murray to Mountains Cycling have created a tasty initiative that combines cycling with food and wine with delicious results.
Pedal to Produce makes it very easy to work up an appetite while cycling around some of the most beautiful countryside Victoria has to offer.
Visit cellar doors, stop off at a local brewery or drop into a café for a coffee. If you're feeling hungry, the many bakeries, restaurants and food producers can refuel you for your cycling journey and your basket will be full of goodies by day's end.
All you need to do is download our food, wine & cycle "Pedal to Produce" trail maps, throw your bike in the back of the car and head our way.
Start by checking out the North East Victorian regional map to get your bearings then head to each town's map for cycle trail information and what food & wine stops you can make along your culinary and cycling adventure..
Maps are also included in the Seasonal Indulgence Food & Wine guide. If you would like a copy posted to you then contact us or view the online version on our Home page.
If you don't have a bike, there are cycle tour & hire operators in the region that can make your trip hassle free by organising bikes & helmets for you, offer advice on trails to suit you and even pick you up after a long and relaxing day touring the region on two wheels and return you to your accommodation.
